Hand Of’s first series of events was a unique twist on conventional cinema called Ceiling Club, featuring a hand-made mirror-projector installation, a lying-down audience and a selection of young and ambitious DJs. From here Cinema Everywhere was born.
Films have included Sufjan Stevens’ The BQE – a cinematic suite inspired by the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and the Hula-Hoop – Efterklang’s Vincent Moon collaboration An Island, Brandt Brauer Frick’s marvellous Bop video, Baths’ Lovely Bloodflow, Carmen Elektra’s Bonesong, Gold Panda’s Marriage, Ólafur Arnalds’ Hægt, kemur ljósið and an acoustic performance of Go Do by Jonsi and Nico Muhly.
Ceiling Club is an evening full of audio-visual delights, and someone always drifts off to sleep.
